Hand on my heart, I’ve NEVER see my true curly hair until I was 24. I have been chemically straightening it since I was 12, and have not stopped straightening it until last year. 🤧 I’ve constantly been told off by family and hairdressers and whoever else that my hair is “so damaged” or “needs a brush” lmao

I’m always surprised at the things I’ve never learned or realized until an “adult”. I never even tried to listen to my body, learn about my hair, my mind or even who I am. I just went on with my life worrying about grades, being skinny, buying that bag or, even now making money or looking a certain way. But it is very weird and almost counter-intuitive (lol right) to let yourself just be you. Let me tell you, it is RE. FRESHING, y’all. Just let all those expectations go and just, BE. 💆🏻♀️

Re curly hair, I’m now on the curly girl method - avoiding sulphates, silicones, alcohol and heat. Basically moisturizing the fuck outta my hair. I’m super keen to meet more curlies in HK, so please HMU!! Don’t let nobody tell you your hair is “dry” or “messy” anymore. Let your curl flag FLY baby!!! 🙌🏻❤️
